Happy New Year Work

I am back at work after being off for New Year’s Day. I really hate being off in the middle of the week because it really ruins my rhythm at work. It is also frustrating that you have to return to work the next day. Well its better than not having the holiday off I suppose. I am glad to have a good job to return to though.

Lets get to work and make today the best it can be. Rock on good people.

I have written about attitude before and it is an important thing to have if its good. Bad attitudes can poison the whole atmosphere of a group. I have had times when my attitude has sucked due to situations where what was expected of me seemed to change like the wind. Whether it be on the job or in your relationships you have a choice in how you want to coexist with others and to cope with what has been handed to you.

Your attitude is the aroma of your heart, I heard that in a movie once and its very true. Everyone will require an attitude adjustment in life about something. It’s up to each of us to determine the course of our lives and work by how we react to change and adversity. I encourage everyone to make the best of it whatever it is.

Being Good At Work

Being good is fun, I heard someone say. Doing well at your job is very rewarding. I am grateful to o what I do where I do it. Finding ones niche can go a long way in helping them feel better about themselves. Yes there will be times of struggle but determination and hard work can help one overcome the obstacles of ones occupation. No matter what you do I hope you enjoy it. If you don’t I hope you find your situation improving in the near future.

In A Slump

When one is in a slump whether it be personal or professional it’s always good to ask for help. Asking questions of others who have life experience to help you though tough times and can make things better for everyone. Never be afraid to admit when you don’t know something. I have learned to be persistent and patient when you find yourself in a tough situation. Work smart and keep your cool a slump is a temporary thing.

My goal at work is to make my quota daily. Some days are better than others but today seems to have some additional difficulty. I just need to persevere and keep at it. Doing my best is all that is asked of me so I need to keep going.

To any of you struggling today in life or at work, hang in there. You can do this. Persevere daily.

Sometimes its a marathon, long and steady. Other times its a sprint, a mad dash to the finish line. All sorts of tasks, projects, reports are a part of the experience. Our work can be about achieving a purpose it can also be about quotas, goals and benchmarks. Performance is metered and stats can tell the story about how we are doing in meeting expectations. Work is the same today as it was yesterday but we have a changed environment and we use new tools to get the job done. No matter what you do try to enjoy your work and keep your nose to the grindstone.
