We Are Young

Last night as my wife and I were heading home from the movie we came across some ladies who were on their way to see “Endless Love”. These good people didn’t know there was an original version that was made years ago starring Brooke Shields. I automatically felt old.
I get the same way when I say “back in my day” or “when I was your age”. You know I really try to bridge the generational gap with anyone I know. I think we all have struggles and issues that are timeless. Perhaps being open minded with people who are younger than ourselves can build friendships that can have benefits to everyone.
Age can be a unnecessary barrier to a lot of things in this life. Maybe if we got to know each other as people first that would solve a lot of problems. There are many younger people who know more about things I don’t have experience with.
Pablo Picasso once said that “Youth has no age”….perhaps we can all be young in body, spirit and wisdom.
There has never been a sadness that can’t be cured by breakfast food.
You is kind, you is smart, you is important…words for everyone to live by.
