Throwback Thursday – This was a unexpected winter where we were stuck in the house waiting for a thaw. I hear we might get a big winter in 2015.

Brace Yourselves, Winter Is Still Here For Some Reason

Why is it still around? It’s 36 degrees or so as of 1:15 PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Here’s the kicker, it could still snow more because there is a history of such events from the 1990’s. I am ready for Winter and its weather to go bye bye!

Throwback Thursday – This picture was taken one week ago today. It’s amazing how things have changed in seven days. Its in the 60’s on Thursday morning Feb. 20th. Can you believe it.

Remember when all this got started one week ago. It’s hard to believe this was just last Wednesday and Thursday. Today its going to be in the 60s and there are thunderstorm warnings in the forecast. Strange days indeed.

Southerners and Winter 2014

My fellow Southerners this weather is something beautiful, strange and something we experience every once and awhile. Our DNA is not equipped to handle lots of frozen weather. Please be careful, don’t get out unless you absolutely have to. Winters here aren’t supposed to get this cold and have this much precipitation so often. Stay warm and inside. Keep calm, we will get through this.

To my friends in the north, we feel sorry for you because you go through this thing a lot traditionally. It’s good to experience life from a different view.
