I grow weary of violence in our world. Our children shouldn’t see it or fall victim to it. Grownups need to do better here. I am not one that says the world is going to hell in a hand basket. There is still plenty of beauty among the thorns of in our communities and nations. I am a believer that God is in the response to situations. I hope for mercy for the suffering and justice for those who commit acts of violence. Be good to one another and much of the crap we see in the world will resolve itself.
I am praying for Palestine because the people there are God’s children too. God doesn’t want any of the stupid violence there. War is not holy.
Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me.
I long for a day with no more violence, no more racism, no more sexism, no more bullying, no more students being gunned down, no more hate toward lgbtq people. That day will come but it will come on a day we all must be ready for. We all must be willing to sacrifice. Friends the more we hold onto the instruments of our destruction the more people will pay the price. God bless us all.
In our world of chaos and turmoil I pray that each of us will come together to be the change we want to see. Many are suffering personal issues that has binded them from living life in its fullness. Our communities have violence on the streets and in the workplace. Natural disasters have impacted many people and places around the world. God I pray for your grace and peace and calm through all of this. I ask you will give us comfort in days like these.
Friends, know someone cares. There are people who think you matter and that you are special. Hang in there, this too shall pass.
There’s too much senseless violence in the world. Give peace a chance.
The gun control debate is a serious one. As I see what has happened over the past few months in Colorado at a movie theatre in Oregon at a shopping mall and today in Connecticut at a elementary school this has me wondering about our world. We see urban areas that experience violence daily and its a threat to everyone’s safety. The senseless violence we are seeing has me very concerned about the people who do these things. It doesn’t make sense. You have to wonder about what makes people feel like they have to kill others in order to be heard. It saddens me that there are so many weapons of destruction available so that things like this happen too often. God bless everyone who has suffered because of such heinous acts. May we find peace in our world sooner rather than later.
