As the United States engages ISIS/ISIL there must be caution and care. This is a dangerous time in the world as we seek to help those who cannot help themselves. I pray for wisdom for our leaders, especially President Obama and safety for those who will be going there to serve in uniform. There must be a plan to take on this force for evil in the world. Many people have lost their lives to this heinous group of people who want to instil fear and to perform genocide. None of those things are condoned by any religion. Friends as we remember September 11, 2001 we remember what we have been through and lets hope we will not go through the same thing again.
At this point a reunification wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Just think all the BBC we could watch.
KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) — Looking dazed and sunburned, U.S. endurance swimmer Diana Nyad walked ashore Monday, becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without the help of a shark cage.
What a remarkable athletic test of endurance. In her 60’s she did it in her 5th attempt. Way to go Diana!
An artist and urban planner has redrawn the U.S. map to show what it would look like if the same number of people occupied each state.
(This is a fascinating map and the state names are intriguing.)
I am happy that my current favorite police drama will be back in 2014. Rookie Blue has graced Canadian and American TV audiences with a Summertime run for 4 seasons now. The cast is rock solid and the stories are gripping. Looking forward to Summer 2014 already!
The states that want to secede from the union should settle it like a Hunger Games style competition. Lets see if they have the guts to do it then.
