Tumblr and Yahoo…Just in Case

Friends, we have seen the dance when a small startup like Tumblr gets a bunch of cash flashed in front of it. Usually it means that a company like Yahoo will acquire the startup. If in case it happens and later on Tumblr changes beyond recognition what do you do?

There are a couple of platforms to migrate to. Blogger and WordPress offer the best option for social blogging. Otherwise you have to use sites like Weebly and Wix which offer no social options but you can post links to your posts on Twitter and Facebook. 

Yes its too early to see what will happen but its always good to think about what to do if things go badly. You can never be too prepared. Now is a time to keep an eye on the news feeds to see what will happen. Don’t be caught flat footed.

Can you do without Facebook? Is Tumblr and Twitter enough to meet your social media needs?

I do love and appreciate all my followers. Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook. 

Tumblr users even Twitter goes down for maintenance every now and then. We are not alone. Twitter was down around 10:55 (EDT) for some work. 

If someone uses a blog or twitter or facebook to bully someone, they should have it all taken away. Social media should be left to those who are responsible.
