It’s ironic because the web is all about change. Nothing much stays the same from day to day. Change is a constant on the Internet and in life.

Tumblr Featured
StandardI wonder If I will ever be picked for one of those featured Tumblr blogs? Does anyone else have that question?
Dashboard Changes
StandardMany Tumblr folks don’t react well to changes in the dashboard. The reality of it all is that change on the web is a fact of life. New things will replace old things that don’t work so well. Innovative features will make blogging easer and more. The web and people are things in constant change. It’s all good my friends, adapt and learn about how the new can make what you do better. Change is everpresent, nothing stays the same.
Tumblr Dashboard
StandardWe have a change in the look and function of the dashboard. That was unexpected. Check out the new button in the upper right hand corner that allows for posting no matter where you are. I am sure there are other changes too.
Filters On The Tumblr Dashboard
StandardIf you follow a lot of people on Tumblr I wish there were ways to set up filters so you could streamline your dashboard experience. What I want is to see mostly original posts so there should be a way to filter those things out. Or someone wants to see a lot of fandom things so that option should be available too. You could do this using the tagging system and setting that up on your dashboard. For some people its overwhelming what they see from the people they follow. This is just a thought.
Tumblr is like “The Matrix” in that its dashboard is a overwhelming stream of posts that have information and consciousness that you have to filter out and see what you want to see.
Twitter can be the same way too.
Google Chrome Browser and Tumblr Dashboard
StandardHas anyone had problem with Google Chome and the Tumblr dashboard being sluggish, non responsive at times?
Blogging and Spelling
StandardWriting is a huge part of blogging, for me at least. My spelling seems to not be what it once was so when writing I have to look up a common word to know how its spelled. I guess we are so used to auto correct (which Tumblr doesn’t have) and spell check (which Tumblr used to have). Blogging is my passion and I hope to never be frustrated by my sometimes lapse of spelling that I quit doing it altogether.
Naming Your Blog
StandardMy philosophy about blogging is that you are the star of your own blog. When naming your blog think about what moves you, what interests you, what you want to express to your readers. You can play around with titles and see what you like the most. A good title can attract followers and also provide a brand for you and your blog.
Follower Management
StandardIts too bad I can’t manage the list of people following me. I can’t advance to another page or anything. Maybe they should merge the list of your followers with the list of folks you follow that way you can cross reference the two. What’s going on folks?
