I am loving Peter Capaldi as “The Doctor” on “Doctor Who”. He is a great actor and along with Jenna Coleman they make a good Team Tardis. My complaint is that I am not feeling some of the story lines. Maybe it is taking a season to get things in sync but for some reason the writing isn’t doing anything for me. I have hope for the rest of the season though. Let’s see what happens.
Don’t worry I am not going give up on the show. I am invested in seeing where Steven Moffat takes us. I hope its going to be somewhere good.

We survive because of change, not in spite of it.
Inspired by something said by Steven Moffatt
It’s been some time since we watched this. This is a great episode. Much foreshadowing and there’s this thing about Souffle Girl.
We have a wait til the next season, so reruns are all we have for the moment.
Steven Moffat has a great grasp on how to produce and write for Sherlock…he gets it. It helps that there is a literary source code to draw from and it takes place in present day.
When it comes to running the show for Doctor Who it seems creatively he isn’t focused and has a problem with linking the past with the present or so it seems. I think if he referred to classic Who as the source code he would create some amazing stories.
I hope Peter Capaldi can help him creatively and help re-focus the show for the future.
The Interwebs are a buzz about a pending announcement of who will be the new Doctor on “Doctor Who”.
Whoever this person is will have to fill some big shoes. Matt Smith did a great job in his term as The Doctor. I think the new person needs to be older than Matt Smith but maybe younger than David Tennant. We do need someone who looks like the first three incarnations of the role.
Some fans feel there needs to be a change at the helm of the show. Steven Moffat seems to polarize fans a little. Too many folks still pine for the tenth Doctor played by Tennant. So right now the casting of the new person is critical to the future of the franchise. There are a legion of dedicated fans who are with the show no matter what.
Perhaps going back to basics, looking at the classic era to see how the show can go forward. Perhaps a greater emphasis on shorter story arcs. I think we need to focus on The Doctor and Companion and being introduced to new worlds and maybe visiting ancient worlds that were prevalent in the first seasons of the show.
It’s my hope the show will have some new life and that Jenna Coleman will have a good mate to run among the stars with. We shall see.
A bored Sherlock is bemoaning the lack of crime but the spark soon comes back when he is forced to solve five crimes against the ticking clock of a bomb around innocent persons bodies.

but I must say I loved the large number of canon shout outs.
