In our celebrity obsessed culture the everyday heroes or rock stars seem to take a back seat. There are people who are family, friends, people in our communities who do amazing things that have a real impact on our lives. We have a world that needs people who do things not for the fame but because its the right thing to do.
I wish we could look at those people with the same reverence we look at people who sell a million copies of music or bring in the big-time box office receipts. These people do a lot of different things in the world and perhaps they should have the accolades but you know they are usually humble and would resist the attention for their good deeds.
