It’s a Wet Saturday

It’s a wet morning my friends which is better than several inches of snow. I’m tired of the rain, some snow would be great. Oh well. Rain, rain go away.

And Now The Weather, Rain

There are numerous songs about rain. “Singin’ in The Rain”, “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”, “Rain”, “Here Comes The Rain Again”, “It Never Rains in Southern California”, “November Rain”, “Smoky Mountain Rain”, “Purple Rain”, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” and the list goes on and on.

Here in the Chattanooga area it’s been raining since late yesterday afternoon and it won’t stop until tomorrow I have heard. It sets the table for some flooding in low lying areas. Temperatures are supposed to drop a little which might bring snow to the higher elevations. Personally, I am tired of the rain already. This is not nice holiday weather people.

A forecaster said yesterday that we won’t see a mild winter like we did last year. It was mild and seemed to go by quickly. This year its gotten colder, quicker. That seems to set up for a long time of staying cold. We will have to see how things go but perhaps a nice snow somewhere in there wouldn’t be a bad idea. 

I hope wherever you are that the weather won’t mess up your plans. Stay safe in any situation. Turkey day is a few days away. 

Wet, Wet, Wet

Its really wet here in east Tennessee, especially the Chattanooga area. I think we all need some towels, sponges, mops, wet vac to help keep the water away. The surprise is that its July and feels more like fall as far as the precipitation. Like most folks around here I wish the rain would go away. Staying dry is what we are all trying to do.

We are watching “Rain” a 2006 movie based upon a book by V.C. Andrews. Its a different sort of rags to riches story. It features Brooklyn Sudano, Faye Dunaway, Robert Loggia and Khandi Alexander.

Some Winter Weather On It’s Way

I looks like winter weather is finally here. The temps are going to fall and we might have some snow. Schools in the area are dismissing early. Our rainy week has brought forth this change in the weather. We do have flooding issues to deal with too.

In the south we don’t have the great equipment the northern states have in removing snow and such so to be safe all the kids are sent home early or they won’t go to school the next day if the conditions warrant it.

It is all rain, all the time here in Chattanooga this week. Personally I am ready for it to stop. There would be a ton of snow if it were below freezing.
