Everything comes down to price and convenience if you think about it. Do we have time to devote to something and will it fit into our calendar and is it close by. Friends, most people are about time and money…two things we seem to have less of these days, although we still have the same 24 hours in a day but our money is always in flux.. Time and money are things we lament and celebrate in our culture. This is really a statement on what our values and priorities are.
money
What do you think about a world with no money? A works where everyone that works is provided for. #WorldChange
StandardThat is an intriguing proposition. In Star Trek there seems to be no reference of currency or money so it seems that people who work are provided for. I am not sure it would work in reality. Capitalism is too much a part of the fabric of life in our world that some would revolt if such an idea were proposed to live without money. Economic systems would have to be completely changed to make it work. There are many details that would have to be worked out and allow the people to adopt or reject such a paradigm.
Disney Isn’t Cheap Anymore
StandardIt now costs a family of four $368 for ONE day at the Magic Kingdom in at DisneyWorld and DisneyLand. Its $94 for one day park admission for adults and $89 for kids. This does not seem to be family friendly to me. When you wish upon a star, ask for money.
The Iraq war cost this country $2.2 Trillion. I wonder how much we borrowed from other countries to go after mythical weapons of mass destruction and to get Saddam Hussein?
God loves you today even when the economy could care less.
Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008) – IMDb
LinkThis is a great movie. It has very much a contemporary message set in the Great Depression. Its a must see for everyone.
