I have always wondered about the notion of self promotion. There seems to be a problem when someone is always making a big deal about themselves so that it becomes a nuisance.
Call it bragging If you want. Maybe there is a self esteem thing going on there. I have no problem with someone seeking to make them feel better about who they are and establishing their identity. Promotion is a part of marketing oneself to people and places to find opportunities to enhance their life but in doing so you have to be careful not to cross the line where people grow weary of you. Life requires balance here and in life.
