Homecoming at Hiwassee College

This is always a special time of year for me when I get to return to campus to renew relationships with special people. Hiwassee is a great place where I found myself and it helped shape me as a person. The college is part of my faith journey too. I learned so much about the world and about people.

Laura and I have been coming to homecoming for ten years and enjoy it very much. We have made some new memories too.

I am very proud to be a Hiwassee College Tiger.

Shopping Downtown Madisonville – This small town in East Tennessee has some great shops to browse through. From an antique and collectibles shop to a clothing store that supports a shelter for women and children in crisis a consignment store and a bakery we enjoyed spending time there today before the activities of Homecoming 2012 at Hiwassee College begins.

This weekend was Homecoming at my alma mater Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee. It was a lot of fun with working to get ready for the events of Saturday that included a parade, awards lunch, basketball games and party. Today was about worship at Buckner Memorial UMC. God has blessed us each time we have been to homecoming over the past 10 years.

Homecoming Friday @ Hiwassee College

My alma mater Hiwassee College is an amazing place. Today my wife and I had the privilege of helping get ready for Homecoming 2011. We have been coming here for 10 years to celebrate the role the college has had in producing amazing people that have done incredible things for the world. I have many fond memories of being a student on campus, while my wife has been introduced to this place through our visits to the Madisonville, Tennessee campus. We serve the Lord in this capacity with hearts of joy and fulfillment.

Tonight we saw some very talented students and others who came to make a joyful noise and to display their gifts in word and song. We were blessed by hearing some amazing music and a little humor.

Tomorrow is when the fun begins with a day full of activities on campus and in town. A lot of good people will be here to relive the memories and to make new ones here. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
