Movie rental chain Blockbuster will end its retail and mail order services by January of next year.
(My Take: I feel as if an era has definitely ended. Blockbuster has a great legacy of home entertainment. However with Netflix, Hulu, Red Box, Amazon and other delivery systems, they suffered. I could see smaller, niche stores remaining open for those who want the rare selections and the nostalgia of it all)
Clue: An Oldie But a Goodie – We are checking out the 1985 movie Clue. Based on the board game this movie has an all-star cast. Tim Curry, Martin Mull, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Lesley Ann Warren, Michael McKean and Eileen Brennan are all brilliant. Its madcap fun!
The Muppet Christmas Carol on VHS – Tonight we are kicking it old school by our VCR. This is how home video used to roll before Netflix, iTunes and the like. Remember you have to rewind it before you watch it again.
The muppets give us their take on this classic Christmas story. Kermit, Miss Piggy, Michael Caine and the rest of the Muppets are great in this movie.
