I am in a bit of a dry spell at work…everyone goes through that. You work hard to break through to make things happen and it just doesn’t happen. My struggle the last couple of days is making quota in my job. You keep on going and no matter what you do its just not happening. Frustration begins to set in and you find yourself done. This is not a uncommon among people who work in a production…

Shepherds
StandardOn occasion we all need a shepherd to keep us out of trouble. Humans like sheep need direction and someone to watch our back.
We need someone, somebody
StandardEveryone needs someone to help them get through this life. Whether it be human or divine. Life is chaotic and we need to feel the calm and the cool and the peace that can get us through. We need a companion to keep us company.
The Front or The Back
StandardHaving been a church goer most of my life it’s always interesting to see who sits up front and all the way in the back. Everyone has their own comfort zone and that sort of thing but the whole thing fascinates me. To me the closer you are to the action up front the more you get out of it, kind of like being in a school classroom.
After Easter Sunday
StandardPerhaps the Sunday after Easter is as important as Easter itself. It is a response to what a believer heard the Sunday before. Being in a community of faith is important not just at Easter and Christmas.
Me, The Believer
StandardI am a unapologetic believer in that faith should rooted in the reality of today and that people should have have an abundance of love, grace, peace. People should have the freedom to be who they are and secure in the knowledge that God created them to be who they are. I also think that God’s story is still being written in the here and now.
Love thy neighbor as thy self is not a suggestion by the way.
StandardJust saying.
Lord, keep us from speaking of love while hoarding the gifts you have given us. Make us full of discontent as long as there are brothers and sisters living and dying in hunger. Amen.
Let love guide your life and decisions.
Rambling on Sunday
StandardThere is a difference between intelligence and wisdom.
Diversity sometimes makes people want to build boundaries.
We are afraid to cross boundaries and we want to put up walls. Fear is a big part of that.
Barriers cut us off from the world.
Believers have a choice to engage the world or isolate themselves.
What say you?
