TRON – A Classic tale of computer gaming, hacking, intrigue, laser scanning and of course good vs. evil. This is one of my favorites from childhood. We got it in Blu Ray. This has a very young Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner.

Friday Night Movie – Pete’s Dragon. This is a classic film featuring Helen Reddy, Mickey Rooney, Red Buttons and Shirley Winters with Jim Dale. If you haven’t seen it, check it out. This is a nice family flick.
Dancing With The Stars & Disney
StandardSo Dancing With The Stars is doing a Disney themed night…I wonder who’s going to dance to the theme of National Treasure. Gotta give Nicholas Cage some love you know.
Sunday Pro Tip
StandardMost things can be solved through a musical duet where the music just starts playing out of the blue. It’s even more interesting when there’s dancing involved. Conflict resolution can be achieved in a dance off.
Thanks to nikkidactyl for getting me started on these pro tips. She is the inventor of the whole thing.
Saving Mr. Banks – See It Now!
If you have not seen this movie, do so. This is a historical, biographical touching film that depicts the making of the great movie “Mary Poppins”. It has a a loaded cast including Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks. Any Disney-phile will want to see this.
This song is awesome, Indina Menzel rocks this tune. The scene is beautifully animated.

Frozen, An Awesome Animated Adventure
It was date night on a Monday and we went for a bite to eat and onto see the Golden Globe winning movie Frozen.
It was a true throwback where there was some fantastic traditional animation with a rock solid story by Hans Christian Andersen. The action, humor and heart along with a fantastic music soundtrack make this movie great. It’s a story of love, sisterly love and its nice to have that sort of thing instead of a heavy handed romantic thing which seems to have been the trademark of so many Disney movies. Frozen is a reminder of what great animation can be. I recommend this movie to anyone. It’s very family friendly.
Disney Isn’t Cheap Anymore
StandardIt now costs a family of four $368 for ONE day at the Magic Kingdom in at DisneyWorld and DisneyLand. Its $94 for one day park admission for adults and $89 for kids. This does not seem to be family friendly to me. When you wish upon a star, ask for money.
Annette Funicello was a member of the original Mickey Mouse Club. Before Britney or Christina, Annette was probably the most famous Mouseketeer to don a pair of Mouse Ears. She was part of a highly talented cast that entertained children in the latter part of the 1950’s. Her popularity carried her into roles in TV specials and movies. Ms. Funicello was indeed a child star.
Annette passed away today at age 70. The Disney community is one star dimmer today.
Disney on Ice has a new meaning here.
