Bonnie Franklin, best known for her role as a single mom on the ‘70s-’80s sitcom “One Day at a Time,” died at her Los Angeles home Friday morning surrounded by her family, of complications from pancreatic cancer, confirmed her agent, Robert Malcom. She was 69 years old. (via ‘One Day at a Time’ Star Bonnie Franklin Dead at 69 – ABC News)
Note From Me: I loved this show because it was about showing a modern family dynamic. A single mom, and two daughters who were very different. Bonnie Franklin was a good actress. She will be missed.
The iconic American TV show “Dallas” is the best continuation of a show since the UK cult classic “Doctor Who”. They have taken existing story lines and characters and picked up where they left off so to speak. “The Doctor” and JR Ewing are both legendary figures with a mythology all their own. Audiences have embraced both series renewals with great ratings and fans creating memes and other expressions of love.
Thanks Sheriff Taylor and Opie.
Remembering Andy Griffith who passed away yesterday.
I am watching WKRP in Cincinnati. For those who have never heard of this show its a comedy from the late 70’s / early 80’s about a AM radio station and the situations they find themselves in. It stars Howard Hesseman, Tim Reid and Loni Anderson. This is one of my favorite classic TV shows.
