StandardTonight while taking our dog out for a wee I saw some neighborhood dogs getting into a fight. Yes dogs will fight, it is kind of a instinct thing. It is a scary to see two canines in combat. My point to this is take care of your dogs and cats. Don’t let them roam free so they might get into a fight and harm others. Discipline and control are important. I know its hard to keep an eye on them all the time but they can be kenneled, fenced and leashed. Don’t let a loved member of your family get into a situation that would turn out tragic. Love your pets and they will love you back.
Strays
StandardMy picture of the two cats on my truck from this morning made a impact on me. Those cats live in a trailer community across the street, they have a place to go home to. So many animals don’t have a place or a space or people to call their own. Humans are the same way. Some people like animals are strays in the world.
Dogs and cats and people walk the same streets where they don’t have much of anything in the world except their wits and the desire to survive. People strays are in search of home for themselves and maybe their families. In a world full of resources and riches no one should go it alone or go without. The one thing that should bring us together is to help our friends and neighbors find themselves and may they never be strays.

Pets aren’t cheap. Especially when your pet is a big dog like ours. Food and treats are big expenditures. Some pets are higher maintenance and cost more to maintain. However they are members of the family and of course you are going to spend on them to make them feel safe and nurtured.

People and Their Pets, Don’t Let Your Pets Roam!
StandardI wish people who own pets especially dogs would keep them penned up and not let them roam where they want to. For one it’s the law in many places that pets can’t just go anywhere in their neighborhood. Its dangerous to small kids and other vulnerable individuals. Dogs can also leave “presents” in other folks yards and that is not a neighborly thing to do. I just wish people who have these pets would take better care of them and be better citizens in the process. I am not happy about this one bit.
The primary reason that cats will never develop a system of organized religion. Ya think?
