The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

This is in our Blu Ray player for our date night movie. We have enjoyed both films in this series and looking forward to Mockingjay episodes 1 and 2. This is a great story of bravery, revolution and love.

Catching Fire A Great Movie

This movie was dark, suspenseful, tragic and hopeful.

Katniss Everdeen is a flawed, broken, real role model. One thing I like is the contrast between the haves and have-nots in this world of Panem and how the revolution started by the girl on fire impated the people. The characters in this movie are quirky, over the top, loyal and some are lethal. There is conflict in every part of this movie as you wold expect.

I haven’t read the books but I think the stories are a warning about wasting our youth in such a violent way. Power by our leaders can be used in the wrong way.

Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress, she has a brilliant career ahead. There is amazing casting too.
