I Donated Blood Today, Talk About Giving At The Office

As a donor recruiter I ask folks to come into our donation locations and give blood. Today, I figured I needed to do the same thing and I donated blood. Its a mildly painful process with only a needle going into a vein in your arm. This one needle collects your donated blood along with several veils of blood for testing. It takes minutes to finish. Once a donor is done there is recovery time where you can have a soft drink and a snack. I can only give every 56 days so that my blood supply can properly regenerate. So I will give again in July.

Today I also finished my first full week of donor recruiting at Blood Assurance. I talked to a lot of people in the area and made some life saving connections. Thanks to my boss Avery and my teammates for helping me be the best I can be.
