Attitude

Standard

I have written about attitude before and it is an important thing to have if its good. Bad attitudes can poison the whole atmosphere of a group. I have had times when my attitude has sucked due to situations where what was expected of me seemed to change like the wind. Whether it be on the job or in your relationships you have a choice in how you want to coexist with others and to cope with what has been handed to you.

Your attitude is the aroma of your heart, I heard that in a movie once and its very true. Everyone will require an attitude adjustment in life about something. It’s up to each of us to determine the course of our lives and work by how we react to change and adversity. I encourage everyone to make the best of it whatever it is.

How You Start

Standard

I always say its not how you start but how you finish that matters. Some days how you start can color your attitude towards it all. I hope my day will indeed finish strong. Maybe the week is catching up with me.

Keeping Your Cool

Standard

Things happen that test our resolve and patience. Being frustrated is a totally natural thing. Keeping ones cool can be difficult when things get tough. Removing yourself from a situation can benefit everyone. Often keeping your cool means taking a breath, using your life’s experience and taking your time (if allowed). Being understanding and not taking things personally can be a good way to take the heat out of a moment

Confrontation can be uncomfortable and that requires another type of cool. I have had my moments when I have lost my cool under pressure. Having grace and a sense of peace can go a long way in making things easier on yourself and others. Stay cool my friends, it might be a good thing for everyone.

A Person’s Choice

Standard

Every person has a choice. A choice to be awesome, kind, considerate, loving, or perhaps something else. We can choose to be jerks, mean, inconsiderate, cruel and crass. Our attitude and our response to others tells the world who we want to be. There’s little reason to be mean spirited. Of course some folks move between being nice and not so nice. Whatever your choice is, make it a good one. Kindness should always rule the day. Being nice is always in style.

Quote

If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until it gets so ugly you can hardly bear to look at it. A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
