So Timehop makes an Android app. This should be fun to play with. I can turn back time.
In my line work I talk to people of all ages and all walks of life. Our world is more connected with technology than ever before. A good majority of us have wireless phones that do amazing things. They have apps that can help us manage our lives….one thing these phones can do that many have seemed to forget is to talk on them.
It is important for users of a certain age to be trained in how to have conversations that do not involve texting. Users of a certain age still use their phones to have a voice conversation and will leave voice mail. Using these traditional tools of communication is vital sometimes because you can’t convey emotion in the same way by text based chat. It’s important for people of all generations to take a call in all forms.
I’m digging Yahoo again. They have some killer apps on Android and iPhone. Their website is a very visited site on the Web too. They also own Tumblr which has been a good thing so far. As a news and all-round information portal its got its groove back. Everything old is new again so it seems. I like what Marissa Mayer is doing there. Yahoooo!
Hey friends Twitter and Instagram have updated their apps for Android and I assume iOS. Go to the Play or App Store to download today.
Today I was setting up Google Apps for my church. A change in ISP led to us creating a more permanent solution for their mail needs. I was able to set up multiple boxes and provide other tools for my pastor and the staff.
It’s my recommendation that when you have a business or organization you get a domain name and use a email address with that domain. It will be with you longer than most ISP’s will. It also gives you a more professional way to be connected in your business. Google Apps will also give you docs, drive, calendar and more so so why not do it.
The one thing is you have to change your MX settings. The domain registry had a tool available to make the change automatically. Once you get it going you won’t have to worry about it.
I will be reloading my apps on my Android phone tomorrow. Here are the top 10 apps I use with regularity in no particular order.
