Interstellar was out of this world good.

Interstellar was out of this world. It was deep, beautifully shot and there were serious influences from other films of its genre. The ending was surprising and I am glad we saw it on the big screen.

It was a story of how our world got to a point where significant social change along the environment and food supplies were in serious decline. A space mission was executed to help find a new home for humanity.

You must see this movie. It’s an important commentary on life and where we are going if we don’t do things differently.

Les Miserables – A Timeless Story

Yeah we haven’t gotten around to seeing it until tonight. It was nominated for a bunch of awards and has an all-star cast. This should be good.

Tomorrow is, you know… This seemed like an appropriate movie to mark the occasion. It’s star-studded and a little sappy and sentimental in a romantic way too, just the way I like it.

My Oscar Predictions

Tonight Hollywood’s best and brightest stars will gather to give and receive the most coveted award in American cinema. I am making a few predictions here on what I have gathered from folks in the media and experts, not because I have actually seen any of the films, because I haven’t. Some picks are just because I like the people involved. I will be picking my favorite seven categories.

Best Picture – Argo

Best Actor – Hugh Jackman

Best Actress – Jennifer Lawrence

Best Supporting Actor – Tommy Lee Jones

Best Supporting Actress – Anne Hathaway

Best Animated Feature Film – Brave

Best Director – David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook)

The Devil Wears Prada – Day two of our Meryl Streep film fest. She is good in this one and every other movie she has been in, she’s sublime. We also like Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt and Simon Baker.
