Today is All Saints Day in the Christian tradition. Many have had loved ones leave this world to become saints themselves. My grandmother is one of those new saints. Let each of us remember those who are gone and may we honor their lives by doing things that make this world a better place. Practice for our own sainthood if you will.
Not everyone is a Christian but they can remember those who have passed and remember their goodness and light they gave to family, friends and their community.
Happy All Saints Day and have a blessed All Souls Day!
To God be the glory for all those who have come before in the faith. I am a believer because of their example and witness. My church will observe All Saints Sunday this coming Sunday.
Almighty God,
who hast knit together thine elect
in one communion and fellowship
in the mystical body of Your Son, Christ our Lord:
Give us grace so to follow Your blessed saints
in all virtuous and godly living,
that we may come
to those ineffable joys
that thou hast prepared for those
who unfeignedly love thee;
through the same Jesus Christ our Lord,
who with thee and the Holy Spirit liveth and reigneth,
one God, in glory everlasting. Amen

Happy All Saints Day. I am thankful for those people who have lived and died for God and the cause of Christ. Blessed be the name of the Lord who is the maker of Heaven and Earth. Amen.
