Happy End of Semester/Term

To my friends who are students I am thrilled for you that the semester/term is coming to a close. Now its time to let your hair down (unless you are bald then its all gone) and have some fun. You deserve some much needed time to relax and enjoy the holidays. I hope you did well and that your grades will be awesome. 

Welcome October 2013

On this first day of October 2013 we feel the cool winds of change upon us. We also know our Government has shut down and there is a new reality that has us concerned. Lets hope for better days ahead. This is a month of changing colors, cooler days and nights also Halloween and candy corn; so there are some good things about this time of year. Let’s keep the faith.

Autumn 2013 Begins on Sunday!

Fall unofficially begins after Labor Day but comes in for real this year on Sunday, September 22. The change in weather and colors are a welcome sign. When seasons change you feel that time is moving on.

Monday September 9, a mere 106 days before Christmas, Kmart aired its very first holiday ad of the season.

(Christmas ads in September is way too soon. I have seen some other Christmas references in recent days. Can’t we have Halloween and Thanksgiving first.)

Happy Labor Day 2013 – This is a day set aside to honor those who work to make America the country it is. Everyone who labors to support their family and communities are recognized in a special way today. I also want to give a shout out to those who want to get back into the workforce but struggle to do so.

September 2013, A new set of days to get things done and to enjoy cooler weather and brighter colors. Fall is on its way and soon!

Summer Is Almost Over

Can you believe that Summer 2013 is almost done. School is back in session for many. Some folks are taking last minute vacation opportunities. Football season is here too with high school games being played last night. Where did the time go, seriously? Fall is drawing close if you can believe that and that is a subject for another blog post.

August, A Month of Celebrations – We are in a new month with new opportunities. My wife and I celebrate our birthdays in August too. Let’s see what happens as we go along. Maybe it will be better than July. The cupcake above has me wanting one.

Time, It’s Ticking!

Today is July 8th and time keeps on ticking into the future as the song says. Its flying by fast. Before you know it kids will be going back to school. Fall weather will be upon us. The holidays of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah will be in our minds and in the stores. I don’t want to wish our time away but slowing things down a bit wouldn’t be a bad idea. It seems we already have time travel its just living.
